Construction Boro

This $25,358,579 project consisted of approximately 116,000 square feet of additions and renovations to the existing medium security Chester County Prison building, which consisted of two pre-cast octagonal 500-bed modular cell towers, reinforced masonry and pre-cast plank cell blocks, new intake and discharge center, offices, visitors’ center, barber shop, dental and medical wing, chapel, officers’ rooms, day rooms, and renovations to the existing 556-bed men’s and women’s cell wings.  Also included was a new kitchen, staff locker rooms, muster training rooms, central control and security observation station.  The exterior of the facility included new electronic sally post gates, new perimeter fencing consisting of two rows of prison-grade fencing with multiple razor ribbon barriers, guard shacks, and recreation yards.
