Boro Construction, along with our Designer, FSB, teamed up to design-build the Aircraft/Platform Interface Facility at the Naval Air Warfare Center, Lakehurst, NJ.

This 68,000 square foot facility is a “state of the art” research and development laboratory, which will design and develop new technologies for aircraft carriers.  This facility houses Launch and Recovery Electronics Labs, Aircraft Wirings and Interface Laboratory, ALRE Power/EMALS Laboratory, Carrier Analysis/STILO (Scientific and Technology Information Liaison Offices), Component Analysis Lab, Electro Optics Lab, Advanced Launch and Recovery Control Systems Lab, Modeling and Simulation Lab, Laser Labs, Robotics Lab, and Environmental Test Lab.  This building was designed and constructed to be the third building in this campus type research and development quadrangle.  This building blends and aesthetically adds to the existing buildings using similar materials for the exterior brick walls and glazed curtain wall systems.  The landscaping and hardscaping have created a park-type environment within the quad.  Boro, the Designer, the Navy ROICC Office, and the end user created a cohesive partnership, which was very successful at meeting the needs of all who have been part of this project.
